Our Privacy Commitment

Center Notes is built on a privacy-first architecture. We believe your center's classroom data — observations, plans, child records, and daily notes — belongs to you and should never live on our servers.

Data Storage

All classroom data you create using Center Notes modules is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This means:

Observations, intentions, care logs, incident reports, and all module data stay on the device you're using.
Nothing is transmitted to or stored on Center Notes servers.
When you close your browser, your data remains on that device — accessible only to someone with physical access to it.

What We Do Collect

When you sign up for a trial or subscription, we collect minimal center information:

Center name
Director or contact name
Contact email address
Center type (optional)

This information is stored only in your browser's localStorage and used solely to identify your center portal. It is never sent to external servers.

Cookies & Tracking

Center Notes does not use cookies, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or any third-party tracking technology. We don't collect usage data, page views, or behavioral analytics.

Data Portability

You can export your data at any time using the built-in print/PDF functionality in each module. Since data lives in your browser, you control it completely.

Children's Privacy

Center Notes is a tool for early childhood professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Child observations and records are created and managed by authorized center staff only.
